As party planners, we organize and help execute social events. We meet with you to plan your event, help you decide on a theme and stay within budget. The main thing we do is give you peace of mind at your event. Instead of bustling around worrying about whether the punch is running low or when the band is going to show up, as the host, you can simply socialize and enjoy the party.

Our Party Help Staff

We are professional servers who set up your party or event, serve food and beverages throughout your event and clean up after your event. We arrive prior to your guests for an orientation and remain after they leave to clean up and restore your home or venue to its pre-event state.

We meet with you before the event to plan the details, such as buffet or sit-down, indoors or outdoors, formal or informal, number of guests, and all the details down to which napkin rings you wish to use.

Our staff will enable you to enjoy your own party or event. You will be able to concentrate on the most important function you, as a host, have: to make sure your guests enjoy themselves and feel comfortable in the social setting you have provided. Rather than spending time in the kitchen, preparing or serving, you will be free to mix socially, to "circulate" and enable those who are shy to join in.

Additional note:
Some people hire us to attend at shivas and other memorial events to ease the burden on the family.

The rule of thumb is: 25 guests per server. Fifty guests require at least two servers. If you are expecting more than 50 guests, the type of party and your individual requirements will dictate the ratio of servers to guests. Here are some additional guidelines:

For a cocktail party, you should figure an average of two drinks per guest per hour. If you are serving lunch or dinner, plan on a total of two drinks per guest.

Staffing depends on the type of event, level of service and the number of guests in attendance. Please contact us with the particulars so we can personalize a quote. We will be happy to discuss the details of your event and assist you in determining the correct number of staff to insure your event goes smoothly. Please refer to our party staff rules of thumb to give yourself a rough approximation of the number of party helpers we recommend.

Generally, we suggest you have us arrive 30 minutes to one hour prior to your guests' arrival. It is recommended that our staff arrive earlier if you would like us to help with setup or food preparation.

Got Errands? by Maggie Kamin focuses all our energies and expertise on staffing, in which we excel. Although we do not provide food, beverages or rentals, we would be happy to help you find companies in your area that provide those services and suit your needs and taste. We are strictly a corporate event and residential party staffing/planning company.

In general, no. "Got Errands?" takes pride in creating a personal and trustworthy relationship with all our clients. However, we require a non-refundable 50% deposit for any event that requires two or more staff members. The deposit is due two weeks prior to the event.

With the exception a few busy nights per year, "Got Errands?" can usually accommodate 'last-minute' orders for staff, so please don't hesitate to call. However, we strongly recommend 24 hours notice if you want to be guaranteed we can fulfill your request. We will let you know on the spot whether or not we can accommodate an emergency call -- and if we tell you we'll be there, you can count us -- we will be there, on time, as promised.

"Got Errands?" understands that there may be an event that needs to be cancelled due to no fault of the client. We would appreciate 72 hours notice, when possible.
