From a child's small birthday party to an elaborate wedding, we can insure you host and enjoy an event where your only duties are entertaining your guests. Leave the mundane tasks like serving and clean-up to us!

As party planners, we organize and help execute social events. We meet with you to plan your event, help you decide on a theme and stay within budget. The main thing we do is give you peace of mind at your event. Instead of bustling around worrying about whether the punch is running low or when the band is going to show up, as the host, you can simply socialize and enjoy the party.

Whether you hire us to staff your party or to plan your event -- or for both -- we provide the best possible professional service with "that personal touch.". Our business depends on the high quality and dependability of our service, since we get most of our new clients by word of mouth. Party Staffing - Guidelines: Number of party servers you will need

The rule of thumb is: 25 guests per server. Fifty guests require at least two servers. If you are expecting more than 50 guests, the type of party and your individual requirements will dictate the ratio of servers to guests. Here are some additional guidelines:

Formal Dinner Party
Our recommendation is a ratio of 1 server for every 10 guests

Buffet Service
1 Server for every 25 guests (for china dishware or for disposable dishware)

Cocktail Party / Appetizers
1-2 Servers for every 25 guests

Additional Guidelines: Bartending

For a cocktail party, you should figure an average of two drinks per guest per hour. If you are serving lunch or dinner, plan on a total of two drinks per guest.

• Each drink should use 1 ½ ounces of liquor : 750 ml bottle of liquor (or wine) =17 drinks
• Vodka is the most popular hard liquor sold (2008-2009), followed by scotch, then gin.
• Leave a waterproof trash can (lined with heavy duty plastic garbage bag) near the bar.

2-3 bottles white wine
1 bottle rose
2-3 bottles red wine
1/2 case regular beer
1/2 case lite beer

Soda & Mixers

10 ounce bottles or 12 ounce cans are best.
Plastic two-liter containers go flat very quickly once they have been opened.

How many party assistants will I need?

Staffing depends on the type of event, level of service and the number of guests in attendance. Please contact us with the particulars so we can personalize a quote. We will be happy to discuss the details of your event and assist you in determining the correct number of staff to insure your event goes smoothly. Please refer to our party staff rules of thumb to give yourself a rough approximation of the number of party helpers we recommend.

When can I expect your staff to arrive?

Generally, we suggest you have us arrive 30 minutes to one hour prior to your guests' arrival. It is recommended that our staff arrive earlier if you would like us to help with setup or food preparation.

Are you a caterer?

Got Errands? by Maggie Kamin focuses all our energies and expertise on staffing, in which we excel. Although we do not provide food, beverages or rentals, we would be happy to help you find companies in your area that provide those services and suit your needs and taste. We are strictly a corporate event and residential party staffing/planning company.

What are your hourly rates?

Is a deposit required? .

No. "Got Errands?" takes pride in creating a personal and trustworthy relationship with all our clients.

What about gratuities?

Gratuities are appreciated and are always at the discretion of the client.

Can you fill last-minute requests?

With the exception a few busy nights per year, "Got Errands?" can usually accommodate 'last-minute' orders for staff, so please don't hesitate to call. However, we strongly recommend 24 hours notice if you want to be guaranteed we can fulfill your request. We will let you know on the spot whether or not we can accommodate an emergency call -- and if we tell you we'll be there, you can count us -- we will be there, on time, as promised.

What is your cancellation policy?

"Got Errands?" understands that there may be an event that needs to be cancelled due to no fault of the client. We would appreciate 72 hours notice, when possible.

Are you insured?

Maggie Kamin, LLC d/b/a "Got Errands?" is bonded and insured in compliance with New Jersey law.
