If you are moving across the street or to the other side of the world, we can help you in your move.

We can help you:

• Call movers and get estimates for their services
• Help you sort through your basement, attic, closets, etc.
• Help you decide which items to donate, sell or throw away
• Host a garage sale or arrange for an estate sale
• Pick up moving supplies
• Inventory your belongings so you know what you have and where it is
• Pack your belongings and label all boxes
• Determine where to place furniture in your new home
• Unpack and arrange your new living space
• Supervise the movers when packing and unpacking
• Direct unloading from the truck
  

 

Some of the Ways We Can Help You Stay Organized During Your Move:

• Create a new file for keeping estimates, insurance and other important
  documentation and receipts.

Among the documents you will need:

• medical and dental records - including prescriptions and shot records
• legal and financial records
• vet records

We can help you gather these other important documents, as well:.

• We will contact your insurance agent:
  • to ascertain what changes to expect in your policies if you are leaving New Jersey
  • to ascertain whether or not moving is covered
  • to help arrange for insurance for your new home.
• We will help you have school records transferred to your children's new school district and/or daycare.
• We will help you transfer veterinarian records

• We can help you create a floor plan of your new home to aid in deciding what will go where. We are specialists in space utilization, and can assist you in this task, too.
• We will contact health clubs or other organizations you have joined and, whenever possible, can help you transfer, sell, or end your membership.
• Will help you notify friends, relatives and businesses of your move. We can buy or design, fill out, address and mail "New Address" cards.
  
• We'll assist you in taking inventory of every room and closet, as you decide what to donate or throw away.
• We can arrange for short-term or long-term storage near your new location, if needed.
• We will file a "change of address" notice with the Postal Service.
• We can schedule disconnection of all utility services at your old home, and can arrange for utility connection at your new location.
  
• We can make travel arrangements for your pets
• We will advertise, organize and help you hold a garage sale.
• We can contact your newspaper delivery service to cancel your subscription
• We can return your library books and pick up all dry cleaning, shoe repair and anything else out for repair.
• We will dispose of flammables, corrosives and poisons, which cannot be carried by movers. This includes such things as draining all gas and oil from your mower, gas grills, kerosene heaters, etc.
• We bring in your car for service before the big move.
  
• We can help you plan meals for the last week of the move to help empty the refrigerator
• We will drain water from all garden hoses
• We will empty and clean your refrigerator, including defrosting all freezers, before your move.
• We can pick up the prescriptions and drugstore sundries needed for the last week before your move
  
• On moving day:
  • If you wish, we can personally supervise movers on moving day
  • We will also take note of utility meter readings.and
  • leave a note with your new address in the house so that the new residents can forward any stray mail.

We will insure that every step of the move is done in an organized and efficient way -- including keeping an inventory and labeling everything in the boxes being moved.
